Changes to my front cover along the way

After putting all the correct pieces onto my front cover i then started to play about with fonts and colours, the back ground colours and moving around things to ensure everything fitted together, I'm pleased with the out come and i will now start thinking about my contents page.

Starting my editing for my front cover

After taking my photos i then straight away got on with creating and editing my front cover, i used the magnetic lasso to copy and paste my images onto one page. This gave a good effect of movement through the photo. After playing around with the positioning of the 3 different poses,i then added in a bar code, which all magazines must have, i got the image for this of the Internet. After completing these two tasks i then set out to start the writing what you would find inside of the magazine, in short brief catchy sentences.
Now i will go on to add in a title and other things found on the front cover of a magazine.

Range of my front cover photos

To create these photo i used one of my fellow stundents and made sure he had dressed up in the correct clothing that would represent the music theme. i used a plain background of a blank blue wall. i think this made the person stand out more, and was more appropriate for the effect i was going to do. I made sure i had a variety of poses and frames to choose from, i then took an additional photo which i thought would be good to then take on and use for my contents page.

Influences

These two photos were found on http://www.devolutiondesigns.co.uk/devolution_gallery.html. i like the designs withing these two posters because its very broken, and interesting to look at. i think these would look very effective on the front of a drum&Bass magazine, to represent the crazy fun and disillusion found within the music scene.
The black and white one uses the black shadow of the building well. it appears plain but as you look further then the details spring out.
The other photo can be seen in different ways. at first glance you just see the buildings then as you look again you can see the intricate designs.

Example photos for my magazine cover.

These are a few photos i took when i went to a rave over the new year, i thought these photos would be very affective for my fount cover because it display the auidence and the sence of feeling you will find at a drumm and bass concert. in one of these photos i am fond of the lighting found comming from the strobe lights, i think this would be effective on the cover. If I choose not to use these photos for the front cover i can link them into the contents page and connect it to the sub-title about events for concerts ect..

A Diffrent type of text logo

I Created this font on a diffrent website called cool text, on this website i could change the colour, size of the border, colour of the writing and the font, this is also quite effective beacuse of the bright colours

Magazine title 3

I like this font because it is big and bold just like how you would describle the sound of drum and bass, this would also catch the readers attension, helping to premote the magazine,

This is more of a plain Font, you can see the title more clearly but it still has an interesting line connection affect to it which would intrigue the reader to read the magazine because it would catch the readers eyes.

Magazine Title 1

I like this font because it has a crazy, out of place quirky feeling to it, i think this Tye's in well with the drum and base theme, It is also a good way of showing the age group of the magazine because its not formal so apples its aimed at a younger age group.

Ideas For The Front Cover And Double Page Article

For my front cover i have had time to carefully think and plan out what i am attending to do. For my main picture which will include my background i am hoping to use a graffiti ed wall found on the premises of my school, then using one of my fellow students, dress him up a bot with the appropriate related clothing and accessories, place him in 3 different positions against the wall, then using the technology of photoshop, combine all 3 poses onto one picture, hopefully if this turn out as plan, it will be very affective and relate well to the theme of my magazine,
After completing this i will use an Internet site called Da Font to create the font for my title and tagline, after all this i will then carry on by added additional information and pictures needed.

For my double page article i will do a biography/information article on a well known drum and bass artist, this will include pictures, information, facts and quotes found from previous articles of the artist, i will have to research carefully for this to insure i get the rite information.
